Due to copyright laws, we can't publish recipes that have already been printed in cookbooks, magazines or newspapers. The recipe should be yours or your family's. You must must also agree to our terms and conditions (see below) when submitting your recipe.

Please add a short paragraph about what your dish means to you.

Servings

Make sure you include a reference to servings - don't worry about being 100% accurate, trust your judgement.

Expertise

Include a difficulty rating in your recipe either easy, intermediate or advanced.

Ingredients

List your ingredients in the order they are used in the recipe.

Try to use metric measurements, rather than imperial. Smaller amounts are measured in tsp (teaspoons) and tbsp (tablespoons) or even handfuls.

If your dish has a number of components, separate the ingredients out accordingly with titles.

Method

Put your method into numerical order - this breaks the recipe into easy-to-follow steps, and makes it easier to read.

Include the oven times in centigrade and gas if possible - if the recipe requires you to preheat the oven, make it the first item in the method.

Try and keep the method to short and concise sentences.

Terms and Conditions

1.Submitted recipes will be added to the recipe database (the "Database") The Database is a selection of recipes, photographs and other media (the "Material") submitted by members of the public (each a "Contributor") for the benefit of Website users. It is accessible via Canteen on Clifton Street's website (canteenoncliftonstreet.com (the "Website"). The Website and the Database are free to access, and the Material submitted by Contributors may be accessed by Website users without charge. Contributors are not entitled to any compensation, whether financial or otherwise, as a consequence of their submitting Material to the Database.

3.By submitting Material to the Database each Contributor agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions (the "Ts and Cs") and by the terms and conditions of the Website, which are available on the Website. In the event of an inconsistency between the Ts and Cs and the terms and conditions of the Website, the Ts and Cs shall prevail.

4.By submitting Material to the Database each Contributor warrants that all the information submitted by him/her in the process is true and accurate.

5.By submitting Material to the Database each Contributor warrants that the Material represents the Contributor's own original work and that he/she is authorised to submit any and all Material submitted to the Website for the stated purposes by him/her and to grant, assign and/or waive the rights conferred by these Ts and Cs. Each Contributor warrants that no third party rights are infringed by his/her submission of Material to the Website and that no third party rights will be infringed by the use of any such Material by Canteen on Clifton Street.

6.By submitting material to the Database each Contributor represents that he/she is capable of, and entitled to accept these Ts and Cs (including the transfer of rights under paragraph 10 below). For the avoidance of doubt, any person submitting material to the Promoter must be over 18 years of age. The eligibility of any Contributor is at the sole discretion of Canteen on Clifton Street.

7.Canteen on Clifton Street reserves full editorial control of the Material in the Database. Canteen on Clifton Street reserves the right to remove and/or moderate any and all Material in the Database and/or published on the Website, but has no obligation so to do.

8.Canteen on Clifton Street regularly reviews submitted Material and will remove any Material that it deems in its sole discretion to be unsuitable. Material will be unsuitable if it is (by way of example only and not by way of limitation) offensive, abusive, defamatory or unintelligible.

9.All rights (including without limitation, copyright and database rights) in or relating to the Database and the Website are owned or controlled by or licensed to Canteen on Clifton Street, or otherwise used by Canteen on Clifton Street as permitted by applicable law.

10.By submitting Material to the Database each Contributor irrevocably grants and assigns to Canteen on Clifton Street with full title guarantee the entire copyright in the Material and all other rights of whatever nature in or associated with the Material (including but not limited to database rights) for the full duration of such rights throughout the world. Each Contributor irrevocably waives his/her entitlements under the rights known as "moral rights".

11.Canteen on Clifton Street will credit a Contributor with suitable prominence or lack thereof in the Database where the Contributor has supplied sufficient information and where the Contributor indicates in the submission process that they wish to be credited.

12.Canteen on Clifton Street may wish to use the Material in the future for other purposes such as (by way of example only and not by way of limitation) in the publication of a book containing selected Material. Canteen on Clifton Street reserves the right to require any and each Contributor (and Contributors agree to comply with any such request by Canteen on Clifton Street) to carry out any steps and to complete any and all documents necessary to permit the use of the Material for any such purpose(s).

13.Canteen on Clifton Street accepts no responsibility for Material submitted by Contributors in the Database and/or published on the Website. Each Contributor agrees to indemnify Canteen on Clifton Street against any legal fees, damages and/or other expenses incurred as a direct or indirect consequence of any harm, damage, and/or loss or otherwise suffered by any third party as a result of any Material submitted by that Contributor.

14.Canteen on Clifton Street does not guarantee the quality or accuracy of recipes submitted by Contributors as Material. Canteen on Clifton Street does not guarantee that any photographs and/or any other media submitted by Contributors to accompany recipes accurately represent the results of the recipes.

15.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for Material submitted by Contributors to the Database and/or published on the Website that may be deemed to be unsuitable as being (by way of example only and not by way of limitation) offensive, abusive, defamatory or unintelligible. Any views, opinions or instructions contained within submitted Material do not represent the views or opinions of the Promoter. The Promoter does not endorse anything submitted by a Contributor that is contained within the Material in the Database and/or on the Website. The Promoter makes no representation as to the dietary suitability or nutritional value of any of the Material.

16.Any personal data relating to Contributors will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual's prior consent
